    The Food and Beverage Coordinator provides oversight and assists in the management of the Cross Insurance Center’s Catering and Concessions operations; actively supervises, coaches, directs, trains and mentor employees in meeting company quality standards; promotes a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment; actively participates and conducts catering sales meetings in coordination with the building sales manager; and develops catering proposals in a timely fashion insuring both building financial and client budgetary needs are being met.

    • Assists in the overall effective management of Catering and Concessions Operations.
    • Develop Food and Beverage related Event Orders (BEO, s).
    • Process all Suite Orders.
    • Ensure total compliance with all alcohol service policies. Monitors alcohol service throughout event to ensure 100% compliance with all alcohol service policies.  Reports any alcohol service or compliance issues to management immediately.
    • Provides on-going direction, supervision, and mentoring to hourly event staff. Monitor product quality and ensure high level of guest service.  Ensure that all standards, policies and procedures of Cross Insurance Center are being followed.
    • Generates event employee and volunteer concessions group schedules that conforms to event labor budget and verifies employee time for Premium Services, Banquet Staff, and Concessions.
    • Assist in the on-going training, development, mentoring and supervision of hourly employees, as directed by department managers; responsible for completing documentation of employee performance and attendance issues in accordance with company policy and practice.
    • Assist in the management of food and beverage events from set-up to tear down, including handling all communication with hourly staff, culinary staff, and guests.
    • Keep Director of Food and Beverage informed of any exceptional individual performance issues.
    • Maintain effective communication within the various areas, as well as with all Department Head Managers.
    • Attend weekly F&B catering meeting
    • Attend catering client meetings to help build menus and develop budgets for proposals.
    • Work with the Executive Chef to ensure appropriate inventories are stocked including food and beverage and non-food and beverage items used for Food and Beverage events.
    • Work with the Event Manager to ensure quality and accuracy of set-ups within all catering rooms.
    • Ensure the smooth operation of all Food and Beverage functions.
    • Become familiar with the computer systems and technology currently in use in the various food and beverage and administration as it relates to food and beverage, from both a hardware and software perspective.
    • Ensure pricing within all areas of food and beverage is “in-line” with competition for food and beverage events.
    • Work with building finance and event departments to prepare proper client invoicing, as needed.
    • Assist sales effects as they relate to food and beverage. Such as creating menu proposals that meet both building and client budgets.
    • Work with the Director of Food and Beverage, ensuring that budgeted revenues are met and costs are controlled.
    • Any other reasonable duties that may be assigned periodically.



    • Valid Food Handler’s certificate if required by state and/or county of venue.
    • Valid Alcohol Service Permit if require by state and/or county of venue.
    • Familiar with inventory cost control and menu planning.
    • Basic computer proficiency: E-mail, Excel, Word, Outlook, Schedule +
    • Working knowledge of Point of Sale and timekeeping systems
    • Cash handling abilities: basic math skills including significant number manipulation.
    • Ability to work a variable work schedule (including evenings and weekends, as required), depending upon event and business requirements.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must have a flexible schedule, be highly motivated and quality driven
    • Detail oriented yet able to excel while multi-tasking.
    • Able to accept responsibility and lead example
    • Cash handling and computer skills.

    • Able to lift 25 lbs.


    Education and Experience:

    • Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Nationally recognized, advanced food service sanitation training course certification.

    Physical Dimensions:

    Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move objects (files, boxes, products, and trays).
