    This position is based at our Angel of the Winds Arena. Angel of the Winds Arena is a multi-purpose complex, in Everett, Washington, designed and developed by the Everett Public Facilities District. The 10,000-seat venue has hosted a variety of concerts and other types of performances.     The Marketing Manager will take a lead role in the advertising and media buying, promotions, public relations, social media and grassroots efforts for events and the facility. The Marketing Manager will also lead all marketing efforts for the Everett Community Ice Rink.

    • Develop, implement and evaluate marketing campaigns and budgets to maximize ticket sales
    • Negotiate, close, implement and evaluate media, promotional and sponsorship deals for events
    • Develop and maintain relationships with promoters, event producers, sub-contractors and tenants
    • Write and distribute press releases while maintaining accurate media contact databases; act as liaison with media for interviews and appearances with artists and/or show representatives; create and maintain media relationships
    • Develop and create collateral materials such as advertisements, radio and TV spots, website artwork, promotional pieces, schedules, calendars, monthly newsletter, and more
    • Take a lead role in the development and execution of new media programs and initiatives to maximize awareness and exposure on social media; pursue new opportunities with technology
    • Maintain the facility’s website and take initiative to activate promotional opportunities online
    • Manage CyberClub database, create all outgoing emails, evaluate campaigns, and develop and implement programs to grow database
    • Manage after-event surveys including making recommendations for customer service follow up
    • Take a lead role in all aspects of marketing the Everett Community Ice Rink
    • Compile all event settlement budget recaps
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions and creative idea development
    • Recruit and manage interns and their educational assignments
    • Participate in promoting the GREAT Customer Service program internally and externally
    • Other duties as required



    • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Sports/Business Management
    • Minimum of three (3) years increasingly responsible marketing experience
    • Prior sports and entertainment industry experience preferred
    • Microsoft office applications and word processing skills required, as well as spreadsheets, database, presentation, graphic design, PowerPoint and internet software
    • Experience with Adobe Products (Photoshop or Illustrator) required
    • Knowledgeable and passionate about social media
    • HTML knowledge/experience, web maintenance, and database experience a strong plus
    • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills, ability to juggle many tasks with aplomb
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; strong creative writing skills a plus
    • Creative and proactive problem solver
    • Actively pursue opportunities to advance the facility’s marketing and customer service
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended (long) work days with extended number of days
