    The Restaurant Manager provides oversight to all levels of restaurant(s) to ensure its profitable operation, optimum guest satisfaction and return visits.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for all aspects of the effective management of restaurant operation within a casino environment.
    • Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans. Prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and guest-service standards; resolve problems; identify trends; determine system improvements and implement positive change.
    • Enhance department and overall business reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to accomplishments.
    • Responsible for completing documentation of team member performance and attendance issues in accordance with company policy and practice, including independently initiating and authorizing any employment action deemed necessary.
    • Responsible for hiring and terminating team members.
    • Make decisions about hiring, and terminations.
    • Maintain and update all team member files and required company documentation forms.
    • Foster teamwork. Lead, direct, mentor and guide unit managers and supervisors. 
    • Actively coach, counsel, direct, train and mentor team in meeting company standards.
    • Oversee all aspects of team member relations to ensure a positive, harmonious, compliant and cooperative work environment.
    • Controls labor costs through effective scheduling, cross-training and team member development.
    • Maintains ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil quality and placement; monitoring food presentation and service.
    • Ensure total compliance with all alcohol service policies. Will effectively and compliantly address all alcohol service or compliance issues immediately.
    • Maximize profitability by ensuring portion control.
    • Monitor food handling, cash handling and work safety compliance. Monitors product quality to ensure high level of guest service.
    • Ensure Point of Sale Systems (POS) are in working order. Audit for accuracy of Payment Card (PCI) compliance, charges and cash handling  
    • Protect branded concepts through audits and compliance processes.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to communicate with team members, co-workers, management, and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
    • Ability to communicate, read and write in English.
    • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
    • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory. Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.

     

     

    Education, Qualifications and Experience:

    • BA or BS with culinary major, or degree from nationally recognized culinary school.
    • Minimum 5 years management experience in restaurant operation.
    • Nationally recognized, advanced food service sanitation training course certification.
    • Experience working in a supervisory capacity in a fast-paced quick service environment preferred.
    • Inventory control or POS experience helpful.  
    • Must acquire and maintain a valid ServSafe Certification annual Liquor Liability and Control Management Certification, and other required compliance trainings.
