    The Beverage Supervisor assists beverage management in organizing and monitoring work processes to ensure ultimate guest service, satisfaction and operational objectives.

     

    This position is located at the Ho-Chunk Casino. With some of the most elegant hotel rooms in the area, our signature Copper Oak steakhouse, exciting casino action and great live events all year round, Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells is a destination you can’t miss. Featuring over 1,300 slots, 20 table games, live poker, off track betting and bingo, you won’t find another gaming floor with more action. Our beautiful convention center presents an impressive venue for any event.     Responsibilities

    • Assign work and supervise beverage service.
    • Conduct pre-shift huddles. Communicate effectively with team providing support, timely feedback and recognition of performance. 
    • Work with management to ensure that beverage team members’ clearly understand their roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations. Ensure department goals are properly communicated, understood, and met by beverage team members. 
    • Ensure guests are properly served and all policies and procedures with regard to the safe and efficient service of alcohol and Wisconsin liquor laws and regulations are strictly followed.
    • Ensure servers maintain knowledge of menu items and any specials offered. Provide updates of menu changes and daily specials. 
    • Coordinate tasks and work with other departments to ensure ultimate service.
    • Counsel team on work related concerns and issues to ensure satisfaction and productivity. Keeps management appraised of team member activities, issues, challenges, etc.
    • Solicit team members’ suggestions for improving how work is done and guests are served. Gain management support as needed to act upon suggestions.
    • Work with management to ensure beverage team members have necessary tools and resources to properly accomplish work.
    • Address guest concerns, requests, or issues either individually or by enlisting the help of management.
    • Collaborate with management to develop and carry-out ideas and procedures to continuously improve department performance around guest service and market matrix scores.
    • Ensure cleanliness of beverage areas, service stations are clean and stocked. Ensure team completes all side work in a timely and satisfactory manner.
    • Coordinates in troubleshooting technical problems with Point of Sale System, from both a hardware and software perspective.
    • Monitors product quality and ensures high level of guest service.
    • Comply with Spectra Food Service & Hospitality standards, policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly. 
    • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory.
    • Ability to communicate with team members, management staff and guest in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
    • Ability to clearly communicate, read and write in English.
    • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
    • Communicates in a positive, respectful manner to both internal and external guests.

     

     

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.  
    • 1-2 years supervisory experience as a bar/beverage supervisor or manager in a restaurant/casino environment.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume fine dining, casual, and/or nightclub in a supervisory capacity is preferred.
    • Must acquire ServSafe and annual alcohol service training and certification.

    Uniforms:

    Uniforms will be specific to each outlet.  All hair must be completely contained within the approved health standards.  All hairstyles, body art and piercings must adhere to company policy to meet the needs of the health code and professional standards.

    Medium - High Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move objects (files, boxes, product, trays).
