    The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing customer service to all visitors to the facility and to promote a safe, well-maintained and comfortable environment for staff and the public.

     

    Scheduled to open in September of 2019, the Centene Community Ice Center is a 4-sheet ice complex, with three indoor and one outdoor NHL-sized rinks which will serve as a hub of youth and amateur sports activity and as a place where the community can come together. It will be the official training and practice facility for the St Louis Blues and home to other local hockey programs, including Lindenwood University, the St Louis Blues Alumni, AAA Blues, and the Lady Cyclones. In addition to hockey and skating programs, games and tournaments, the outdoor rink will convert to a 5,000-seat concert venue and will also be used for community events and programming.     Responsibilities

    • Provides information about the Centene Community Ice Center programming arenas to walk up customers and callers.
    • Responds to inquiries regarding services, facilities, programs and events.
    • Deals directly with the public in person and over the phone giving out general information, answering questions, explaining procedures and gathering facts and pertinent information regarding problems and complaints.
    • Provides customer service in processing ice and meeting room reservations and program registrations.
    • Operates computerized public information and reservation systems in an efficient and accurate manner.
    • Responds to customer inquiries via telephone, in person and/or in writing as required.
    • Performs a variety of office support activities.
    • Orders office supplies.
    • Assists with databases, filing, copying, collating and mailings.
    • Keeps supervisor and other appropriate staff informed of problems or other matters.
    • Interpret and enforce ice arena rules for customers.
    • Collect fees and record in software.
    • Follow cash handling policies and procedures.
    • Deposits and receipts money associated with all transactions.
    • Look up availability of ice time, take ice requests, assign teams and locker rooms.
    • Complete injury requests and submit work orders.

    Qualifications

    • One year of customer service experience
    • Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural groups
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to solve problems according to established policy and procedure.
    • Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
    • Ability to professionally exhibit cultural sensitivity, patience and understanding in the course or work duties.
    • Ability to provide a level of customer service that meets/exceeds customer expectation and satisfaction.
