    Spectra is seeking an experienced Electrician for our operation at Dallas Convention Center, located in Dallas, TX. 


    This position is based at our Dallas Convention Center. The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas (KBHCCD) is one of the largest convention centers in the nation. Every year it welcomes over a million visitors attending major national and international conventions, meetings, concerts, athletic competitions, auto shows, and more. Located in the heart of downtown Dallas, the KBHCCD has been and continues to be a fixture in the Dallas skyline offering 1 million square feet of exhibit space, three ballrooms, 88 meeting rooms, 1,750-seat theater, and a 9,816-seat arena.     Spectra is seeking an experienced Electrician for our operation at Dallas Convention Center, located in Dallas, TX. 

    • Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties.
    • Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
    • Distributes and picks-up power drops as needed.
    • Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
    • Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
    • Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with Electrician Supervisor/Chief Engineer or other maintenance workers to diagnose malfunction.
    • Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.
    • Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
    • Replaces electric motor bearings rewires motors.
    • Plans layout of high and low voltage wiring and installs wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus in buildings.
    • Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

    • High School diploma, trade school degree or general education degree (GED).
    • 3 years related experience and/or training in electrical trade required.
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience.


    • Knowledge of national electrical codes.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.
    • Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member.
    • Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.


    • Requires an Electrician’s Journeyman’s License.
    • Valid driver’s license required.
