  • Overview

    The Operations Manager provides direction and guidance to the Operations Department while ensuring room set accuracy, organization and presentation of Operations equipment, and is responsible for facility readiness for each event.




    • Select, train, motivate and evaluate staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline and termination procedures.
    • Responsible for the timely distribution of all Operations employees schedules.
    • Approve timecards for payroll every two weeks for the Operations staff.
    • Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work plan for facility operations; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems; assign work activities, projects and programs; monitor work flow; review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures.
    • Assist Director in the development and administration of the Operations budget; forecast of additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; monitor expenditures; implement adjustments as necessary.
    • Oversee the set-up of events; coordinate facility arrangements with banquets, AV, and other departments; monitor the work of contractors, engineers, and architects on building projects.
    • Order supplies and materials for maintenance programs within budget guidelines; receive and maintain supplies.
    • Develop and maintain an accurate record keeping system.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.



    • Minimum of two (2) years experience in building maintenance including at least one year of supervisory responsibility.
    • Completion of twelfth grade with specialized training in the building maintenance of HVAC or related building systems.
    • Familiarity with OSHA requirements.
    • Familiarity with trades work (i.e. electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.) preferred
    • Ability to climb stairs and lift 40 lbs. unaided.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
