Overview

The Box Office Manager will direct, manage and supervise all ticket office functions including staffing, cash control, event management, group sales operations and third party/vendor/promoter relations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage ticket office operations for all ticketed events at the Ford Park Entertainment Complex, including events at Ford Arena, Ford Pavilion, Ford Fields, Ford Exhibit, Ford Midway and the Ag Barns
  • Manage and supervise all ticket office personnel including Box Office Supervisors and Ticket Sellers
  • Balance, deposit and report all daily ticket office receipts
  • Create and distribute ticket office sales reports to management and show promoters
  • Process all premium seating ticket orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Establish and review operational policies and procedures for ticket office operations
  • Act as chief liaison for vendors and customer service inquiries
  • Handle all group sales operations including prospecting, client meetings, inbound calls, outbound calls, reporting, order fulfillment and processing
  • Determine and communicate event staffing schedule each week
  • Manage all aspects of ticket scanners including setup, tear down and maintenance
  • Represent the department at weekly staff meetings and other meetings as necessary
  • Other duties as deemed necessary or as directed

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university preferred or relevant industry experience
  • A minimum of 3 years ticket office management experience
  • A minimum of 3 years experience with Ticketmaster and Bypass preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of computerized ticket sales
  • Significant successful compatible Ticket office operations experience and/or business experience
  • Strong math aptitude and ability to attend to detail
  • Proven effective management of multiple related areas
  • Demonstrated ability and experience developing and coordinating multi-faceted plans and issues
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and Word
  • Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating and personal interface sills
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees and vendors
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, and dedication
  • Must be flexible with working nights, weekends and holidays
