Overview

The Exhibitor Services Coordinator supervises and coordinates the operations of Exhibitor Services, online ordering of event utilities, equipment and technical services, and all on-site orders at the Convention Center. Additionally, the ESC will assist with developing customer service and concierge training for the Guest Services employees.  Exceptional customer service and standards of excellence are a key component to the vision of excellence.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Senior Event Manager to coordinate exhibitor customer service.
  • Enter exhibitors into database, create work orders and distribute automated reports to the appropriate staff.
  • Coordinate the daily operations of Exhibitor Services.
  • Responsible for accurately processing all service orders assigned for convention center events.
  • Process orders by running credit cards and logging all money received.
  • Provide show site support, audit show floor utility use, and work the service desk during event, move-in and move-out.
  • Research and resolve customer service issues.
  • Recommend and implement goals, objectives and practices for providing effect and efficient customer service.
  • Plan, service and supervise the use of utilities, equipment and other exhibitor services.
  • Maintain and active and positive relationship with internal and external partners.
  • Assist with development of Customer Service and Concierge Training for Guest Services employees.
  • Assist Event Services Department, providing Event Management support when necessary.
  • Staff Supervisor for the part-time events services team members, including hiring, scheduling & evaluations
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers, clients, colleagues and the public
  • Analyze, interpret and report research findings
  • Work under pressure (i.e. handling significant problems and tasks which come up simultaneously and/or unexpectedly and approaching deadlines).
  • Work cooperatively with line staff, supervisors, department heads, senior convention center management and the public-at-large, in satisfying the needs and responsibilities of our Guest Experience Program.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended (long) work days and extended numbers of days.
  • Experience with tradeshow and consumer show exhibitor services preferred.
