Overview

This position will work with the Director of Marketing to promote the facilities and events while creating and maintaining relationships with media and promotional partners. A key role of the position will be the creation and editing of graphics for venue and event promotion. The Marketing & Graphic Design Manager will assist in advertising, media buying, promotions, public relations and grassroots efforts for events as assigned

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Complete understanding of graphic design techniques and terminology including but not limited to RGB vs CYMK, dpi, layer styles, artboards, and the different adobe tools.
  • Utilize graphic design programs to create collateral materials such as print and digital ads, social content, signage and wall decals/wraps, promotional pieces, posters, schedules, calendars etc. from concept to completion
  • Develop marketing plans and strategies for events exercising sound judgment
  • Implement marketing plans including creation of advertising materials, media buying, promotions, grassroots, interactive efforts and public relations for events
  • Negotiate, close, and implement media and promotional agreements for Core Entertainment events with promoters and media clients
  • Prepare written letter of agreements including negotiating terms
  • Assist Director of Marketing in preparation of monthly corporate marketing reports and participate in monthly conference calls with other Spectra Venue Management entities
  • Maintain and create detailed media budgets, settlement reconciliations, and recap summaries for facility events
  • Maintain relationships with promoters, artist management, venue partners and local media
  • Develop and implement media drop and public relations campaigns
  • Research projects/upcoming shows
  • Manage and create content on the Core Entertainment website and social media accounts
  • Develop and implement programs to grow database, social media accounts and increase Core Entertainment brand awareness
  • Manage database and email campaigns
  • Develop new marketing programs and initiatives to maximize ticket sales such as third-party partnerships, new media avenues
  • Track, analyze, and compare event ticket sales information
  • Organize day-of-event activities
  • Participate in the development and implementation of annual marketing goals, objectives, policies and priorities
  • Utilize various media management programs to create and program digital signage elements through the venues.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • College/University Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Sport Management or other closely related field
  • Experienced with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of Marketing or PR experience, preferably in Sports/Entertainment
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership skills, organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills particularly in dealing with the public are required
  • Proven time management skills and reliable at adhering to time sensitive deadlines as required
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends and all event days as assigned.
