The Server / Suite Attendant is an individual with excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and also food preparation skills. You will be responsible to set up your suite and take care of your client’s food and beverage needs for the event. Servers will be responsible for taking orders from guests in the Club area and will also help work banquet events as assigned, Suites or designated areas when required.
The Assistant Sous Chef is third in command of the kitchen and is responsible for the physical aspect of the kitchen operation, including supervision of kitchen personnel as well as the preparation and serving of food. The Assistant Sous Chef assumes all the duties of the Chef in the chef’s absence.

The Banquet Manager plans and directs the activities of events that serve food and beverages. Have a wide variety of daily duties which include; estimating, ordering, arranging, supervising, recording and overseeing all food, beverage and equipment. Coordinate with and provide excellent service to venue clients, while working with them on their event needs.
The Event Management Intern will be the primary point of contact for facility’s small event clients, managing every aspect of events in the facility from the advance planning stages through the end of the event. Primary event type will be daytime meetings & events, with strategic cross-training/shadowing opportunities of other event types (trade shows, meetings, concerts, etc.).
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Director of Operations with the efficient, professional and profitable operation of the venue. The Operations Supervisor aids the Director of Operations in overseeing every managerial, f/t and p/t position, and ensuring full compliance with state and federal labor laws, sanitation and food-related ordinances, and alcohol service regulations.
This position is the primary contact with the guests at the facility. The position requires knowledge of the building and its
services also to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for the building patrons.
The cash room attendant is responsible for preparing and distributing cash during an event, processing, balancing and reporting of cash received after an event. The attendant must have the ability to work a variable, event driven schedule typically ranging from 1-2 hours before doors open to 1-2 hours after the conclusion of the event. In addition to possessing strong numerical skills, the attendant must have the ability to work independently, be trustworthy, be detail oriented with respect to adhering to company cash handling procedures, and be able to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce within a fast paced environment.
This position is responsible for the accurate, efficient, and service-oriented operation of the ticket selling function of the Alerus Center. May supervisor other Ticket Office Cashiers.
Concessions cashiers perform a variety of customer service, food preparation, and cleaning duties in the concessions areas.
Parking attendant personnel function as money collectors during paid parking events, check for proper parking passes, direct patrons to expedite ingress and egress of cars to and from Alerus Center lots, assist with the set-up and tear down of parking equipment and assist with parking lot clean up post event.
Housekeepers will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining room and public areas prior to, during, and after events.
This position is required to work event preparation, event presentations, move-ins, and move-outs. Depending on event
schedules, hours of work may be long and varied. Maintain appearance of facility including snow and ice removal, mowing
and trimming, weeding and spraying, painting, and cleaning.
Conversion Crew Members will perform a multitude of tasks to setup, run, and breakdown of all needed seating, table, staging, equipment for events hosted at the Alerus Center.
